A list of coaching conflicts (with teams in LHGCL only) for the 2008-2009 Soccer Year (fall & spring seasons).  We will do our best to schedule around coaching conflicts for two teams only.  Coaches who coach more than two teams are not guaranteed that all conflicts will be resolved.

Special Scheduling Request Guidelines:

1. Teams may not request any weekends off except teams going to approved tournaments.  (Teams may be asked to prove they are going to an approved tournament by showing a copy of the acceptance letter, or some other suitable form of proof.)  U17 & U19 teams may request a weekend off in the fall (U16, U17, & U19 in the spring) to attend a “Showcase” tournament.  Their requests will be considered on a case by case basis.

2. Teams are allowed to pick 5 specific weekdays (list dates) off - no weekends.  (This does NOT mean that you should pick 5 dates to ask off without good cause.  A majority of your players must actually be involved in the conflict)  Coaches at this level need to take a player's commitment level into account when selecting members of the team.

3. We will do our best to schedule around coaching conflicts for
teams (two only) that play in LHGCL.  Coaches who coach more than two teams are not guaranteed that all conflicts will be resolved.

4. Spring Break - teams may request one week of weeknights off ONLY if a majority of their players are
actually going out of town for spring break.  No weekends will be given off for Spring Break. Travel plans should be made to leave late Sunday afternoon, and return the next Friday so players will be available for play on Saturday and/or Sunday.  Don’t forget that Sunday’s are often used for make-up games.

5. Only U17 and U19 teams can request Saturday mornings off for SAT and ACT.

INFORMATION ON SPECIAL SCHEDULING REQUESTS

SEASON DATES: Weeknight games will begin during the week of August 18. Saturday games will begin on Saturday, August 23. We will not schedule games over the Labor Day weekend.  We try to end the fall season around the 1st weekend of November, but we cannot guarantee it will end that weekend in the event of rainouts.  DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY TOURNAMENTS NOVEMBER 8-9.  THIS WEEKEND IS RESERVED FOR RAINOUT MAKEUP GAMES.
